Conrad Athens The Ilisian

A new chapter for an Athenian landmark Set within the former Hilton Athens building on Vasilissis Sofias Avenue, Conrad Athens The Ilisian marks a new chapter for one of the city’s most recognisable modernist landmarks. Long associated with postwar Athens and the social life of the capital, it is one of the city’s most anticipated openings in recent years, which returns reimagined through a contemporary lens – balancing heritage, hospitality, design, and wellbeing within a large-scale urban destination. The redevelopment preserves elements of the original 1960s architecture alongside the well-known artworks by Yiannis Moralis, while introducing a more residential and internationally minded atmosphere. Marble surfaces, soft textures, curated artworks, natural light, and expansive views toward the Acropolis shape interiors that feel refined yet understated. Across the hotel, restaurants, wellness spaces, residences, and retail areas unfold with a sense of openness more often associated with a small cultural district than a traditional hotel. A contemporary interpretation of Athenian hospitality rooted in presence, connection, and ease and reflecting the Athens of today; design-conscious, culturally connected and looking confidently ahead.

hellofrom Tobacco Warehouse

Hello traveller. Hellofrom Tobacco Warehouse. Hellofrom Tobacco Warehouse emerges, a curated gallery of history, architecture and elevated luxury. The first out of 5 apartments is now ready to welcome you. The other 4 will be ready at the end of 2027. Thoughtfully restored and revived to echo the character of the historic building they inhabit. Built in 1925, this historic building has stood at the heart of Kavala’s Old Town for over 100 years, forming part of the city’s heritage. Once a tobacco warehouse, it held the rich scent of cured leaves and the quiet rituals of trade. Tucked within winding streets where history lingers in stone and shadow, it now enters a new chapter. An urban retreat shaped by time, it reveals itself slowly and stays with you long after you leave. Hellofrom Tobacco Warehouse is set within the characterful streets of the Old Town, just a stone’s throw from the ancient Roman aqueduct and the fortress. This bohemian district blends historic architecture with a contemporary rhythm of small cafés, local restaurants, and a growing creative presence. With the sea just below, the area is defined by light, air, and a calm sense of continuity. History remains tangible but unassertive, allowing daily life to unfold at a considered pace, inviting travellers to slow down, observe, and experience the city in a way that feels both grounded and quietly refined. 1925 est. Designed by hellofrom, Tobacco Warehouse offers a nuanced reinterpretation of the city’s vernacular, while it reads like a lived-in loft, where atmosphere takes precedence. Earthy tones and exposed brick set a confident, tactile backdrop, threaded through built-in elements and open volumes that feel relaxed, intuitive, and lightly composed.  The interior reveals itself through lived moments: records selected by hand, the soft click of a needle meeting vinyl, sound filling the room while light shifts over textured surfaces. Grounded yet playful, the residence balances material honesty and thoughtful design with an effortless cultural ease. It is a space that feels instinctive rather than styled, designed to be inhabited slowly, where sound, atmosphere, and daily life align without effort.       Morning light through the windows a gentle breeze from the sea below jazz crackling softly from the vinyl.
